How to correctly model network devices that do not allow neighbor port searching?

  • 1.  How to correctly model network devices that do not allow neighbor port searching?

We've encountered an instance where one of our sites went down, and the event management didn't work as we would have expected because all of the devices were suppressed.  The Gateway Router doesn't allow neighbor port searching, so apparently it will appear dependent to the other devices.  Is there a way to manually configure this relationship so that we can better monitor the site?

    Thanks

    Steve,

From the sound of it, it looks like knowledge document KB000051741 "How to alarm on a model in a Fault Domain when contact is lost to all models in the Fault Domain (Legacy KB ID CNC TS32313 )" may be of what you need.
