  • 1.  smpwservices.cgi on ImmedPasswordChange

    Posted May 23, 2016 04:54 PM

    Hi,

    I upgraded a CA Siteminder r12 SP3 environment to r12.52 SP1 on Solaris.

Most of my stuff is working. BUT for my Temporary password use case.

It correctly redirects to change password page and asks for the old and the new passwords. After the user enters them, it does a submit to PWS.fcc and just stays there. Doesn't redirect to the TARGET parameter.

    Has anyone encountered this before?

    Regards,

    Anand.

    Hi Anand,

The CGI version of the smpwservices has been removed in 12.52SP1.

To get full functionalities, you need to use the smpwservices instead.

Please refer to that technote for more precisions :

    Thank you Patrick-Dussault

In that case, would the change just be to change the redirect URL from smpwservices.cgi to smpwservices.fcc or is this change more involved?

    Regards,

    Anand.

    Hi Anand,

You'll have to change also the password policies links in your configuration.
