  • 1.  Cisco Messages in Device logs

    Hi All,

I have a bunch of new cisco 2900's with the latest and greatest OS on them. Needless to say I am getting a whole slew of  "A configuration management event has been recorded in the ccmHistoryEventTable"  messages appearing in the logs of all the new switches. Anyone have an Idea on how to disable those messages? They are filling up all the devices logs.

    TIA

    Hi,

    you can:

    - disable logging for Event 0x21006

    - configure NCM:

    • Extremely: Set Unsolicited Device Configuration Captures to  "Disable"
    • Moderately: Enable Unsolicited Device Configuration Captures and set Correlation Event Period to e.g. 7200 seconds

     - configure "no snmp server enable trap config" (This is the device based version of  the global action with "Unsolicited Device Configuration Captures".)
