We have configured HA for AE Scheduler, Dual Event Server, WCC.

Please let us know the detailed steps to migrate the database from one edition to another edition.  Also we would like to refresh the database on both AE and WCC.

I'm unclear on what you are wanting to accomplish. When you say "one edition to another edition", are you saying you want to migrate the database from one instance to another instance that is the same version, or to another instance of a different version?

Also, what exactly do you mean by "refresh the database"?

    Hi Scott,

We are planning to migrate from SQL Server 2012 standard edition to SQL Server 2014 standard edition.

We would like to know about the impact of AE server settings and WCC settings for the metadata.

    Thanks

    Hi Soundrarajan,

Firstly, please make sure the AE version you are on, supports MS SQL Server 2014 before the upgrade.

AE Compatibility Matrix - CA Workload Automation AE & Workload Control Center - CA Technologies Documentation

When you say migration, are you shifting/moving the AEDB from MS SQL Server 2012 DB server to MS SQL Server 2014 DB server? Or performing an in-place upgrade of the MS SQL Server? If you are moving database (AEDB), then make sure the MS SQL  Server logins (autosys) and database permissions are also the same.

    Thanks,
