Add ip address to the field that contains the words device stopped responding to polls

I am using the spectrum connector ver212 to service Operations Insight.  When a device goes down a message pops up in SOI with the modelname and device stopped responding to polls(in the summary field), I would like to add  the ipaddress as well as the existing messages to the summary field-   How do I do this?
