Difference between CA CCS Event Manager and CA WA AE Event Server

  • 1.  Difference between CA CCS Event Manager and CA WA AE Event Server

    Hi Experts,

     

    I am new to WA AE, i just want to know how CA CCS Event Manager and CA WA AE Event Server are different, please help me.

     

    And also provide me configuration steps if i have to incorporate both in one architecture.

    Hi Pradeep,

     

    Short answer to your question is, WA AE Event Server refers to the Database repository AE uses to store its objects such as job definitions and history, job events, calendars, global variables, resources, etc, and CCS Event Manager manages the events generated by various applications, programs based on event policies defined. WA AE Event Server is a must have and CCS Event Manager is optional.
