  • 1.  Jaspersoft and OneClick running in the same host?

    Posted Sep 27, 2018 03:49 AM

Hello, I am trying to install the JaspertServer in Red hat. I have a lot of problem because the JaspertServer_6.4.3 version required 2 patches (Spectrum_10.02.03.BMP_10.2.301.Linux.txe & Spectrum_10.02.03.PTF_10.2.336.Linux.txe) and I didn´t know it.

Now I have my JaspertServer sync correctly with my ReportManager. The new problem is that I am trying to install another OneClick (only OC, no RPM) in the same host of the JasperServer. The installation finish sucessfully, the Tomcat is created in other port that the port of CABI but the boths Tomcat couldn't run at the same time.

Someone have the Jaspersoft and OneClick running in the same host?

Yes, it's possible - just to set the proper ports. In addition to the web port, make sure the Tomcat installations have also different Shutdown Ports configured. The port is configured at the top of the server.xml file.

    Yeah, I know.

I installed the Jaspersoft with the 8082 port for the http and 8444 for the https. Everything was fine. I could login in the Jaspersoft, I could ran the sync between Jaspersoft and ReportManager.

Then I install the OneClick (without Report) with the http 8080 and https 8443.

The tomcat of the OneClick aparently is running but this log is recording:

    "WARNING: Tomcat not started yet"

This error appear in the catalina.out:

    SEVERE: StandardServer.await: create[localhost:8005]:

java.net.BindException: Address already in use (Bind failed)

It seem like althought you can configure two Tomcan in differents ports, the Java use the same connection.

8005 is the shutdown port. There are 3 ports that have to be changed, not just one. Just search for 8005 in both config files of the 2 tomcat instances. You'll figure it out.
