Is it possible to monitor a specific file system on a server without sysEdge or UIM?

    Greetings,

Yes, you can setup File System monitoring in Spectrum as long as the device you want to monitor supports the Host Resources MIB (RFC2790), and the SNMP community or credentials used has access to the Host Resources MIB.

For more information see the "Host System Resources Management" documentation - "File System Monitoring" section (https://docops.ca.com/ca-spectrum/10-2-2/en/managing-network/host-system-resources-management/file-system-monitoring).

You may also want to check out TEC1122395 - "How to Monitor the File Systems (RFC 2790) for many servers using Spectrum" (https://support.ca.com/us/knowledge-base-articles.TEC1122395.html)

    Regards,

    Brad

The servers I tried to setup don't have the option Monitored File Systems (RFC 2790). Don't think its supported and we have an agentless system.

Yes.  All that is required is that the SNMP agent supports rfc2790 (Host Resource MIB)
