  • 1.  Reports that get inserted in the RH and RT tables

    Hi,

We have over 13 million records that are getting inserted into the RH and RT tables daily.  Is there a way to limit this amount and still keep the necessary records needed for SOX or other compliance?  Looking to see if there is a client 0 setting or some other DB manipulation to lower this.

    Sure.

#1, investigate if you can curb the output from your jobs. I mean this. If the jobs are not all your own, you may need to investigate with others: we had jobs that would write page over page of stdout output into Automic that nobody would ever remotely care for.

#2, DB maintenance with reorg and unload. It's in the documentation, and here's a thread already discussing many options:

#3 if you feel that the flags are not covering what you need for SOX or your individual requirements, you can back this "Idea":

... even though I am not holding my breath, these ideas seem to be moving at a glacial speed at best.
