  • 1.  10.6 workstation Timed out trying to connect error

    Hi Team,

    All our lisa workstations are not connecting with error,

    java.rmi.RemoteException: Timed out trying to connect to test registry ssl://xxxxxxxxxxxxx/Registry

                    at com.itko.lisa.test.Environment.bootUpTestRegistry(Environment.java:2744)

                    at com.itko.lisa.test.Environment.setTestRegistry(Environment.java:2723)

                    at com.itko.lisa.gui.TestAdmin.startRegistry(TestAdmin.java:619)

                    at com.itko.lisa.gui.TestAdmin.access$000(TestAdmin.java:83)

                    at com.itko.lisa.gui.TestAdmin$1.doCallback(TestAdmin.java:270)

                    at com.itko.util.swing.panels.ProcessingDialog$2.run(ProcessingDialog.java:195)

                    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)

    Could you explain what are the reasons for this and how to resolve.

    HI Harika
            There could be several reasons. Please check the following:

    1. Are you able to ping the hostname or Ip address of your registry server from the workstation ?
    2. Are there any exceptions in the workstation log file. If so, please share the exception stack trace.

    Hi Sankar,

    Yes, i am able to ping from windows cmd and this is the error am seeing in workstation.logs

    Hi Harika
               Please do the following :

    1. Go to registry machine
    2. Add the following entry to LISA_HOME\bin\Registryservice.vmoptions

    -Djavax.net.debug=ssl

    Save the file and restart registry service

    3. Go to workstation machine
    4. Add the following entry to LISA_HOME\bin\Workstation.vmoptions

    -Djavax.net.debug=ssl
    5. Relaunch workstation and try to connect to the registry

    Share Registry log and Workstation log files for analysis.
