  • 1.  SANM changing mail from address

    Hi All,

      

      Have configured mail setting in Spectrum ,i can see the correct from address(abc@xyz.com) from regedit Smail configuration but in mail i am getting installed user name and abc@xyz.com. how to exclude the Spectrum installed user name from mail notification.

    Have you tried searching in the HKEY_LOCAL_USER for the installed user name? Maybe there is another entry in the HKEY_LOCAL_USER folder.

    The installed user is not there in HKEY_LOCAL_USER.

    You can try modifying the AlarmNotifier scripts (i.e. SetScript) and add the "-u" parameter to the mail command used to send out the email notification.

    Example:

    $MAIL -u myaddress@domain.com -s "A $SEV alarm has occurred on $SERVER (Model Name=$MNAME)(Model Type=$MTYPE)" $RCVRS < /tmp/set_alarm.$PID

    Hi Praveen,

    Please check the user in Windows. Chances are the Full Name is being added to the From Address. If you simply remove the Full Name option from the user running Alarm Notifier it should fix this issue.
