Clarity PPM 14.3 version on Oracle 12c?

Hi, 

 

Is anyone implemented Clarity 14.3 version on Oracle 12c? If so, what are the issues faced during and after the upgrade? Say, first upgrading 13.3 on Oracle 11.2.0.4  to 14.3 version and then upgrading the database to Oracle 12c.

Can't comment on the Oracle upgrade process per se, but I can recommend that you carefully review the following section:

Specifically, this is one change that should be noted for 12c where I have seen some issues when not done:

Set the following parameter values to optimize performance when running CA PPM Release 14.3 with Oracle 12.1.0.2.

• optimizer_adaptive_features=false 
• optimizer_inmemory_aware=false 
• optimizer_adaptive_reporting_only=true

If you want I can elaborate on that post-upgrade issue I was talking before (when not done properly, not having the correct configuration noted in my earlier message) on new object creation. New objects were being created with most of the default views missing. But again, that is not an issue if the configuration parameters have been properly set as documented.

Hi,

 

We upgraded from 14.2 to 14.3 and also upgraded oracle from 11g to 12c.

The upgrade was successful, but we are facing issue with jobs like Time Slicing, Post Timesheets, Investment Allocation, Update Earned Value and Cost Total. Time Slicing job is not getting completed and other jobs are failing with database error:

Even we moved to 12 C .Several system portlets (out of box) are breaking post upgrade .

 

Checking with CA on those issues .

 

Did you added the CA recommend optimizer settings in the database as mentioned above in the thread as well .

 

Please keep this thread posted with the CA investigations so will I .

Yes we have applied those optimizer settings. In addition we have also applied SESSIONS_CACHED_CURSOR=1000 and CURSOR_SHARING=FALSE.

 

But, still we are getting same error.
