Device Interface description(ifdescr) not showing original port description

In our current Spectrum installation set-up, I have noticed device interface description is showing as interface name instead of the port description configured in Device.

 

Kindly help me with this issue.

You need to look at the ifalias field for description informaition

Check to see if your device is certified first.

Second, check to see if the device supports ifAlias.If the device does not support ifAlias, you'll have to have it certified by CA (you should see where the device is storing the Alias for the interfaces).

I would say right click on the interface and to go MibTools and search for 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18 OID and see the value there.
