is there a way to set global values for thresholding?

I want to change the defaults, especially from 300 seconds to say 1 hr

is there a global location I can do this with?

Use the Attribute Editor and check the "Set As Default" check box.

Is there any caveats with this?

 

I.E. I push this out does it over wrote interfaces I’ve already changed from the default settings?

 

I.E. I have my backup server timer for 4 hrs, will it get reset to what I define as a new default?

It will overwrite the interfaces you select when you change the value.  If you have already set it on some interfaces, do not select those as part of the bulk change.

 

When setting the modeltype default, it will only affect NEW models.  It does not recursively change the models already created.

You could look into forcing those values using Policy Manager I would think.
