    Hi All,

     

    Apart from SNMP and ICMP, are there any modes of discovery protocols in Spectrum. CDP/LLDP ?

    Spectrum uses SNMP to retrieve CDP/LLDP and other sources of connectivity information from devices.

    If the SNMP is not configured on the device,will CDP/LLDP still provide some information.

    You might be able to see something about non SNMP devices connected to an SNMP configured one if their both running CDP (probably LLDP also but don't remember) but that's about it.  Sort of like CDP show neighbors from the SNMP manged device.  Otherwise, no.
