    We had a hiccup on our master last night that self recovered. I noticed a log called predtester_dump*.log in /log created at the time of the problem. There were 10 in total.

    Does anyone know the purpose of these files? And is it created by default?

    I've never seen Applications Manager or the RMI process creating any predtester_dump*.log before. My guess is that there may have been a Java memory error that caused the RMI, which is a Java process, to dump predtester information into the log files. After dumping this information, the Java process was able to recover itself.

     

    You might be able to find additional information if you review what time the predtester_dump*.log was created and then reviewing the RMI logs leading up to the time these logs were created.

    This problem was caused by losing the Appworx Oracle listener.

    Looks like it is some kind of memory dump.
