We are pleased to announce the general availability of CA Agile Requirements Designer v2.4. A summary of the features is listed below and the detailed description can be found in the v2.4 Release notes also in the attached PDF. Version 2.4 builds on version 2.3, which launched the Microsoft TFS integration, the ability to create RR pairs directly from CA Agile Requirements Designer and resolvable path names for the creation of more effective test case names.

    • DataBuilder. A toolset designed to find and create the correct data for cross system testing. Built on the core technologies of CA Test Data Manager and CA Agile Requirements Designer to quickly improve the quality and speed of your development. Join our Community webcast to find out more.
    • New User Experience. A new user-interface separates the actions and tasks which can be performed in CA Agile Requirements Designer into groups. It now has the look & feel of other Windows applications.
    • Grid Edit. Editing an existing flow chart can be a cumbersome process, jumping in and out of many dialogs at a time to edit a blocks associated attributes. The ‘grid edit’ feature enables editing of block attributes in a tabular format.
    • CA Agile Central integration. Improvements in performance bring this integration in line with the core integration framework utilized for other integrations (e.g. JIRA and ALM). Our tests indicate an improvement in performance of up to 10 times for import and export.
    • BPMN Exporter. BPMN models are widely used in business for defining requirements. With the exporter you can export flows to this format and share with other business stakeholders or project management systems.
    • Blocks Exempt from Automation Headers and Footers. This allows users to exclude certain blocks for being used for the header and footers.
    • Global Search across a Flow. Componentising models into sub-flows is a great way to get the maximise the value of CA Agile Requirements Designer. You can now search for diagram elements globally across a flow, including sub-flows.
    • Sandbox Mode. We love to gather your feedback. In the sandbox we showcase the new features - Learn Constraints, URequire and CA Application Test integration.

You can download the software from the CA Support site.
