    Hi all,

We have few cisco devices for whom we are getting "SNMP agent is not responding" with one credential "ABC" but working with another credential "DEF"

We have created a new string test123 for which device is responding but if a delete string "ABC" and re create "ABC" it is not responding for this.

Can you highlight reasons why device is not responding for one string only but responding for all other string ?

    probe : snmpget v2.01

    Regards,

    Hi

Password and user (if snmpv3) have some requirements in snmpget probe

Password string must be at least 8 characters long.

    Hi Ravi,

We are using SNMP v2c. Attaching screenshots for reference.

For string "Comnet123" snmp not responding, but for "comnet123" it does. We have created both strings likewise.

Let us know why it is working for one but not for other.

My first thought is, why not just use the one that works???

In regards to abc, take snmpget out and test with sapwalk2 available at:

    Hi David,

Question is if "Comnet123" is working at time of onboarding of device (some time back) and now not working whereas other string we created now are working ?

Is there document how to use sapwalk2 for DXIM, i see one but its for spectrum

It is just a third party tool used by all of our snmp product, and usage is the same. Typically the main goal for using it is to obtain a mib walk, in this case it is just to verify the connect info.
