We are trying to implement the integration between SCOM and Spectrum using the connector provided by CA.  This works as expected, except for one huge oversight.

In SCOM, all monitored devices are named with FQDN.

In Spectrum, pingable models are hostname only (no domain appended).

In order for SCOM alerts to be associated with Spectrum models, the names have to be an exact match.

If a device name is hostname only, then it is not the same as the FQDN name, which means no match.

Since we got SCOM to use primarily on pingable-class modes, this makes the whole investment pretty useless.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Hi Mark,

Sounds like you need to recreate the pingables with the FQDN option set to yes in Spectrum:
