Error Handling while connecting to REST API

Hello community,

Please suggest me how to deal with error handling if REST API did not connect from Automic. Basically I have to send notification to admin if REST API did not connect. If any body came across this situation please help me out.

What do you mean by "REST API did not connect from Automic"? This could mean just anything. Are you talking about the REST API of the Automation Engine itself, a webservice object, an OS job that does REST calls? Please elaborate on your exact use-case.

Hi Joel, Thanks for your reply.

We are connecting to external REST API using webservice connection object and running webservice job to get the user details using GET method. If in case the connection may fail due to network issue or REST API did not respond for request then how we will send notification  to admin?
