    Hello everyone,
Jasper 6.3 was installed on Linux and integrated with CA Spectrum, but we can not access it by host name (http://cabi:8080/jasperserver-pro) only by IP (http://10.30.50.5:8080/jasperserver-pro ) How can we configure tomcat ro access by hostname and IP?

    Hi Carlos,

This sounds like a DNS issue rather than anything to do with Jasper itself. Your browser cannot resolve the hostname provided (cabi) with the IP address. Maybe do a DNS flush on the server so it gets picked up by your router again and re-establishes the DNS table (if you have it setup on the router).

    Hi Mohammed,

I don't have a DNS service, I am using the hosts file to resolve the hostname.

    Hi Carlos,

What do you have the <Host Name="...">...</Host> tag set to in the Tomcat server.xml file on JasperServer? Normally, it would be set to localhost. If it is, then maybe you can set an alias tag as well (within the <Host>..</Host> tags):

    <Alias>cabi</Alias>
