    Hello,

Is the CA Spectrum used to monitor only SNMP devices or can we even monitor Non-SNMP devices?

If so how can we add the devices into topology?

As far as I am aware we cannot add the devices directly as we do for SNMP devices because we have to provide SNMP information while discovering or adding device.

Could you please provide a procedure how can we add Non-SNMP devices into topology for monitoring.

    Thanks,

    Sheethal

    Hi Sheethal,

You can model Non-SNMP devices as pingable models.

One way to create a pingable model manually is clicking on the "Creates a new model by type and adds it to this view" button in the Topology TAB/view. In the "All Model Types" TAB, select the Pingable, then supply the Name and Network Address.

Another way is through Discovery Console.

    Thanks,

    Silvio
