  • 1.  Model Type editing

    I have a Cisco 3850 fiber port switch that is set in Spectrum as 'Model Type Name: GnSNMPDev'. I cannot change the Model Type in the attribute editor. The device is in a constant state of fault as 'DIFFERENT MODEL TYPE'. What options do I have to fix this?

    You can either destroy and recreate the model (by IP) or use the /Install-Tools/PostInstall/NewMM.pl script to convert it…

    the easiest way to map a GnSNMPDev model to a Mtype of your choice is to open the GUI Tools->Device Certification in OneClick and map the sysOID of your device to the Mtype you want the device to be.
