  • 1.  Auto clear alarms in CA spectrum

    Hi Team,

     

    I have configured power supply alarms in CA spectrum, but when these power supply conditions becomes normal my alarms are not clearing automatically. I would request if someone can please help me out how to make the alarms cleared automatically from spectrum when condition becomes normal.

    How have you configured the alarm? SpectroWatch? Trap?

    Does the device send one trap when there is a problem and a different trap when the issue is resolved? Two traps with two different trap oid's?

     

    If so, configure the event associated with the clear trap to clear the alarm asserted by the event for the trap that generated the alarm.

    Correct! And you can also have a case where that's the same trap sent when the condition is OK with a different value in one of the varbinds and in such a case you'll have to use an Event Rule (EventCondition) to generate two different events depending on the condition status and make one clear the other.
