  • 1.  CA VNA on Spectrum Server

We have a small Cisco ACI network and to get visability into it - I'm thinking of installing CA VNA on same servers as were I run Spectrum today. Any comment on this?

    Hello Robert,

Sorry to see that nobody has responded in any way to this in the past 8 days it was up here.

Best practice would dictate that mission critical enterprise level software installations are done on their own dedicated resources.

It might work in development or test environments but I'm not sure I'd want that in production.

Have you run this by the Spectrum team as well?

    Thanks,

    Mike

You should be able to install VNA on the SpectroSERVER. If you have enough resources on the system that should work. The wildfly ports are 9999 and 8080 so as long as you are not using those port it should work fine.

I changed Spectrum OneClick server to 8081 and installed VNA. Works gr8. Just waiting for the Cisco ACI plugin which wasn't included in the VNA distro.

And now I have the plugin, which was almost to simple to install.
