upgrading spectrum through response file(silent installation)

Hi,

 

1. if we need to upgrade more than 10 primary and secondary spectro servers, is there a simple way rather than going to each server and upggrading them one by one.

 

I have gone through the upgrade documents posted in the CA website.

 

Upgrade Best Practices Fault-Tolerant Deployments - CA Spectrum - 10.2 and 10.2.1 - CA Technologies Documentation.

 

2. Is necessary to upgrade all the one click servers at once or can we upgrade 2 now and 2 later (if we have 4 one click servers), so that we can still monitor our infrastructure during the upgrade using secondary spectro servers.

Use the Installing CA Spectrum in a Distributed Environment method. Recommend to do the following:

 

1. Have users log into OneClick all on the same OneClick system

2. Shutdown all primary and all other OneClick systems and upgrade using the distributed install method

3. When the upgrade is complete, start all primary and OneClick systems that have been upgraded.

4. Have users log out of the old OneClick and log into one of the new upgraded OneClick systems

5. Shutdown all secondary and all OneClick servers that have not been upgraded and upgrade using the distributed install method
