  • 1.  What account do I use to run the WADE service?

    Hi all.
I installed wade manager and agent with deadmin account who I created.
When running the manager and agent services, which account should I run as root or deadmin?

If I run the service as deadmin account, it seems that communication between manager and agent is not good.
Can I run the service with the deadmin account? or should I run as root?

    Thanks

    Hello,
The DE and Agent are two separate services.  They can run as any user as long as they can write to logs which are normally inside the install directory.
The communication issue is usually due to configuration such as manager id, hostname, encryption key or port.  You will need to make sure that the ports are open and agent and DE can reach other without any problems, then check encryption key.
You may want to run agent as root so that it can run jobs as other user.  Running as root or any other user does not prevent any communication between DE and agent.

    See this for more details.
