    Hi everyone,

We are looking to enable in our ticketing system with our CA Autosys environment and looking for ideas how we can accomplish this task.
The ticketing system we use is Service Now and we want to automate when a job fails in the CA Autosys 2017 that an incident ticket gets automatically opened up.

We currently have the operators open the tickets up manually and want to get out of it. Is there anyone there who is doing this and if so could you share how you accomplished this task?

Please assist with any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    Dineshkumar,

We've enabled SNMP traps. It worked with Remedy and is now working with Service Now. There is a section of the Docs devoted to the traps and the setup. We have enabled a lookup script when a trap is received. It retrieves job contacts and restart instructions from our run book and opens the ticket. We just switched to SN a few months ago. We are still working through some of the capabilities/features/issues. So far we are happy. It was easy to make the link to SN.

Look at the trap list. Decide what events you want to trap. Assign the events to the appropriate teams. Job failures and max/min run alarms go to users. EP rollover goes to the admins. If services crash they can be assigned to the server admins.

That should be enough to get you started. Contact your Service Now team and work with them. Most of them are happy to help with the automation.
