How does workload automation DE apply to licensing in HCI virtualized environment?

    Hi.

    I've two questions as follwoing.

    Q1]

    Can Workload Automation DE support HCI based virtualized environments (Hypervisor: vSphere or Acropolis) ?

     

    Q2]

    I would like to know about the license policy in the HCI virtualization environment for workload automation DE.
    - HCI server based virtualization environment (Hypervisor: vSphere or Acropolis).

     

    Do you charge for VM (OS) in HCI environment as well?

    Or is this possible on a per-node basis? Or is there another pricing policy?

    Hi,

    1.  Yes, DE is supported in virtualized environment.  If the virtual host is running the supported OS then DE can be installed on it.

    2. Same license policy applies for DE running on virtual or physical environments.

     

    Do you charge for VM (OS) in HCI environment as well?

    -->The licensing is only for the DE servers and the agents.  For any OS and virtual/hypervisor licensing, you will need to consult the OS vendor.
