Was hoping someone could help me with an FTP job we are running through DE 12.0 SP2. This job is using regular FTP and trying to upload a file to a server. It is working fine when uploading to one server but when the job is changed to run on a different server the job gets a status of "Connect timed out" and goes to SUBERROR state.

We have had someone look at the server that is not working and apparently the FTP site is setup the same, from a DE standpoint the job is exactly the same when FTPing to the servers (same user ID, port #, etc) but it never connects to one of the servers and no traffic is seen from the server side where the job is failing to connect to. On top of that, when ran outside of DE the ftp works fine but for some reason when ran using DE it does not.

    Hi,

We need to look at the agent logs to see why the ftp connection time out is happening. It may not be problem on the server machine but the problem on the agent machine is my guess for now.

    Hope it helps!

Hi Kunduri, in this case both jobs start on the same agent, just ftping to different servers. In both cases the job is ftping to servers that do not have an agent installed
