    Hi Ed,

Is the following link to the CA WAAE product document on Required Licenses what you're looking for?

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-wla-ae-wcc/11-4-2/en/installing/ae-implementation/installing-the-server#InstallingtheServer-Req…

    Thanks,

    Jack

    Hi Ed,

There are 2 licenses required for CA Workload Automation AE:

The Scheduler license. The corresponding license key is 2WAS

The Agent license. The corresponding license key is 2WAA

All licensing checks occur on the Scheduler machine.

The scheduler and agent license keys are placed in ca.olf file.

You can contact the CA “Global Service Center” to request for a license.

The ca.olf will be copied under C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC directory (for Windows)  or

/opt/CA/SharedComponents/ca_lic directory (for Linux / UNIX) on the scheduler machine.

You can consult the “Required Licenses” section under the following link for more detailed information:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-wla-ae-wcc/11-4-2/en/installing/ae-implementation/installing-the-server

    I hope this can help.

    Thanks,

    Roya

    Hi Roya,

This is what I am getting from the file ca(olf file). Can you help us how to get the details of the license such as license expiration? Also, we would like to ask regarding the process for license renewal. Thank you!

    Hi Ed,

You can contact the CA "Global Service Center" at +1-800-225-522 with your Site ID to request for a new license.

You can also open a new case at support.ca.com for your license request. The above license is expired in November 2016.

    Thanks,

    Roya

    Hi Roya,

May i ask what is the impact of not renewing the license?  As of now, we don't see any issue in Autosys. The application is running fine.

So you just admitted to CA you’re out of contract?

    Hi Ed,

    There are two impacts.

From legal point of view you will need to get and install a valid license. This is the first impact.

The second impact is that your WA AE AutoSys logs will be filled by invalid license messages.

    Thanks,

    Roya
