Rollover of Errors.txt File?

Does anyone know if the errors.txt log file can be rolled over? Per a CA doc the error log never rolls over and is recreated when the server starts up. Our errors file is getting too big and takes a bit to open up. I have not found a way to do this just yet.

The functionality to rollover or archive the Error log file was added from r12 release (see Managing the Error Log File).

In DE 11.3.x, the error log cannot be rolled over but recreated when the server starts up. If the file is getting too big possibly too many errors are logged in the server tracelog. I would suggest to review the error messages especially Agent related messages and fix the problem. You can refer to the KD TEC1130345 for more information.

Thank you for the information. I have started fixing these errors but there is a lot of them due to something that was done before I started in my current roll. We hope to have r12 next year maybe Q2
