Job conditions - if no look back, how long are conditions 'valid'?

  • 1.  Job conditions - if no look back, how long are conditions 'valid'?

    Hello,

Not sure if I missed this in the User Guide, but I would like to know, if there is no look back specified for a job condition required for a job to run, is there a time after which the said condition will not be considered as valid anymore by the dependent job, and that job will wait for the next execution of the prerequisite job, before kicking off?

    Thank you in advance,

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

When no look-back is specified and the dependant/successor job is scheduled (start_mins, start_times or run_calendar), then the scheduler evaluates the predecessor job's present (just in time) status when the successor's time-condition is satisfied. There is no expiry on the predecessor's status.

    Thank you,

    Chandru

    Hello Chandru,

    Makes a lot of sense.
