  • 1.  Timeline for Rally migrating to Okta for SSO

    Posted Jun 23, 2020 10:00 AM
    Hi All,

We have received a couple of emails over the past few weeks about Rally moving to OKTA as their SSO provider(WOOT!) and that we needed to open a ticket with them.

    • Has anyone else had to do this conversion on their instance and what was involved?
    • Is there a drop dead date that the change will be made?
      • I know there was a date of June 30th to open a ticket

    Hi Willa,
I can speak from the support side!
After you open a case, support will grab some information from your subscription and have a stub-connection set up for your subscription
We'll then pass some details to you that you can use to build your end of the new connection
Once you have that completed, we'll need a metadata from your side and we'll use that to complete our side
After that, it's ready for testing
We've designed it so that we can test individual users without affecting the entire subscription.  Once the testing is complete, you can switch your SSO URL in your subscription settings at your leisure

As for deadlines, we do have flexibility to complete the migration well past June 30th that you've referenced so there isn't a huge rush there, but we are asking to have your support case in before that date
