OneView Monitor Deployment Error

Hi all,

I'm working on deploying OneView Monitor in an SSO r12.8 environment. 

I have deployed "apache-tomcat-8.5.47" on the RHEL policy server. The tomcat service is running but I'm not ale to test apache tomcat in browser as firewall request is pending. I am able to see the process running on the server using "ps -ef". Also, netstat shows that the service is listening on port 8080 (default port). 

The issue I'm having is when trying to run the policy server configuration wizard. After choosing the "OneView Monitor GUI" feature to install, I'm prompted to provide the path to the TOMCAT folder, where I provide the following path: 

/opt/CA/tomcat/apache-tomcat-8.5.47

At this point, I receive the following: 
"Apache tomcat 7.0.52 or higher not found" 
I'm not able to advance beyond this point as entering the path repeats the same error. 

Has anyone dealt with this or understand what I may be missing.

Hi Michael,

I've try to reproduce in my lab the error you mentioned :

"Apache tomcat 7.0.52 or higher not found"

and on Policy Server 12.8SP2 on RedHat 7, I cannot get this error and
the installation continues as expected.

I'd suggest you to install apache-tomcat as root and run the Policy
Server configurator as root first and once the configuration is done,
adjust the owner and group of the files.
