I upgraded a 12.52Sp1 CR01 Sharepoint agent and i'm getting an odd error upon restart of the SAS.

    from the nohup.out
    Jun 24, 2019 3:09:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext setPath
WARNING: A context path must either be an empty string or start with a '/' and do not end with a '/'. The path [/] does not meet these criteria and has been changed to []
    ProxyServer initialization failed.
    Config File: 'D:\CA\Agent-for-SharePoint/proxy-engine/conf/server.conf')

    this repeats 5 times.

From the server.log everything looks normal until:

[24/Jun/2019:03:09:36-906] [ERROR] - ProxyServer initialization failed.
    [24/Jun/2019:03:09:36-906] [ERROR] - Config File: 'D:\CA\Agent-for-SharePoint/proxy-engine/conf/server.conf')

    and then it just ends.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Jason,

Do you see any abnormal messages in nohup.log?

    Regards,
    Gwan

    Hi Jason,

To which version (CR) did you upgrade the Agent for Sharepoint ?

The error seems something related to embedded Tomcat server. You can
check the latest post to this thread to workaround the issue :

How to set the context path of a web application in Tomcat 7.0
    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7276989/how-to-set-the-context-path-of-a-web-application-in-tomcat-7-0

    I hope this helps,

    Best Regards,
    Patrick

The upgrade was to 12.52 sp1 CR9...and yes I agree definitely a tomcat related issue. I saw that article and I have played with some variations on it, but not working, not sure if i'm really doing it right. Obviosly with the SPS setup catalina_home/conf exists, but not the rest of the referenced path.

So i've trien there and a few variations on app name with no success.

GWAN, that is the only message in the nohup.out, repeated three times.
