Our Blue Coat proxy team is going upgrade the frameware from Blue Coat 6.5 to 6.7 version, application / websites which are hosted on internet are using Blue Coat proxy to get authenticate from siteminder.
We want to know will this up gradation will have impact on Siteminder.
Please provide your inputs on this changes.
Thanks in Advances,
You might want to post this question over in the CA Security Community that covers the SiteMinder product. You'll get better visibility and input for your question from that team.
Normally I can move posts from one Community to another but I'm currently not able to that. Wanted to be sure you got an answer and this didn't get lost without one.
Whatever was causing my issue yesterday has magically vanished. I just tried again and it allowed me to move this question thread to the correct community.
What is the mechanism used for integration - federation or Sdk approach ?
In general, there should not be any impact to Siteminder as it is an Authentication source/IDP. Also you need to evaluate the compatibility with Siteminder if Blue Coat is using any SDK or api's. However I would evaluate the use case and integration mechanism before upgrade for impact.
Thanks for update Ashok,
Please provide some info on Siteminder Ciphers
Hope these helps !
