Hi All, im new to CA.

I was able to update CA in machines with CA 8 x64 installed to CA 9 x64.

Now I must update some machines from CA 8 x32 to CA 9 x64.

Can you please tell me the steps or share a manual for keeping the configuration ?

    Hi Davdi,

    Have you followed below link:

This link explains very well on how to upgrade.

If you face any issues in any of the steps please open a support case.

    Thanks

HI, yes, it explains very well, but it doesn't say what steps follow when you are upgrading from 32 bits (x86) version to x64 to keep your ca risk/strong configuration.

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-advanced-authentication/9-0/en/upgrading/upgrade-checklist

in the check list it ask you to uninstall and install a fresh version, but im not sure what are the needed configuration files to copy from old version to new one

You need to take a backup of ARCOT_HOME and AFM_HOME

All the configuration files are in ARCOT_HOME/conf and AFM_HOME/conf

The link I shared with you previously already explains which data you need to backup.

The configuration files do not depend on the bit architecture of AA.

    Hi Davdi,

There wouldn't be any issue but you don't have to copy because when you install the product all the files in conf directory are created already where you provide the configuration details during the installation.

    Thanks
