  • 1.  CA Directory update (12.6 -> 14.0)

    I've upgraded my CA Directory solution from the 12.6 version to the new 14.0 version.

    After having it installed, I noticed that my DX Agent wont start and I'm allways getting this message on Event Viewer:

    A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the CA Directory DXagent service to connect.


    Does anyone else had the same kind of problem??


    Juste FYI, this server is dedicated to only run CA Directory on it.

    Its a Windows Server 2012 R2 64Bits RAM 32Gb CPU 2.26Ghz (2 processors)

    Have we tried to manually start DXAgent using the below commands.


    dxagent version.

    dxagent start.

    dxagent stop.

    dxagent status.


    What version does dxagent show?


    Please source the DXPROFILE ENV file before executing these commands.

    Hi Hubert,


    I finally understood what was happening.

    When I first installed the new version, for a raison that I still dont understand, the DX Agent was never updated.

    So, I restored the previous snapshot (with the 12.6 version) and I restarted the whole process. This time, I stopped all services before running the installation wizard. After doing that, I had no more issues about the ports and DX Agent.
