Redirect back to login page when using OnAuthAttempt

Is there a method to redirect back to the login page when using OnAuthAttempt? I would like to display login error messages on the login page and cannot use smretries. We are using smwalker for other processing on failed logins and using smretries stops the flow to smwalker.
