    Hi everyone:

Now is a great time to upgrade your CA Single Sign-On deployment!

We recently released CA Single Sign-On 12.7 with several new features and enhancements: REST APIs for administration operations, OpenID Connect 1.0 support, Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) fallback to forms-based authentication, and Remote Engineer 4.0 with Telemetry Service integration.

Please refer to the attached "Why Upgrade to CA Single Sign-On 12.7" datasheet for more detail, including a feature comparison by version.

    Thanks,

    Divya

Can you please let me know what openssl version and apache version bundled.

I am looking at openssl 1.1.0.e or above for addressing some of the vulnerabilities.

Can we install SSO 12.7 as Fresh Install or it must be an upgrade only. We attempted to do fresh install and it was still looking for upgrade .. While installing , we got following error

Variables required for installation were not found in the environment or in a properties file.

Please source the environment scripts before running the Installation Wizard during an Upgrade. If you are upgrading from R12 or above versions, Please source your '.profile' or 'siteminder/ca_ps_env.ksh' If you are upgrading from
R6, please source your '.profile' or 'siteminder/nete_ps_env.ksh'

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,

Fresh install is fine. It worked for me.

So i attempted it on a fresh Linux box and it worked fine as Fresh Install. Let me figure out what causes the installer to think that old version of Siteminder is running on server. I have stopped services, did not use Siteminder env initialization, etc ..created a new folder for Install..

    Hi Sanjay,

I have had trouble with that before,   The zerog installer used by SSO, would leave a file :

.com.zerog.registry.xml  in etc if it was installed by root.

Or the install users home directory if installed by a non-root user.

You could check to see if either of those files exist.

    Cheers - Mark
