    Hello Everyone,

I would like to know about Soitoolbox in the CA SOI 4.0. At the attached below picture mentioned that Non-Administrator Users could not start, stop, restart SOI Services on remote machines.

While user can stop, start and restart SOI Services only on a local machine.

The question is, what difference between Local Machine and Remote Machine? Would it be possible to change soitoolbox permission? so user that does not have Administrator rights still can execute stop, start and restart the CA SOI Services.

    Appreciate for anything helps

    Regards,

    Okik

    Hi Okik,

to restart a remote Service you need Administrator rights, because that is a requirement of the remote Operating System, not of SOI.

I don't know if you can define a non-Administrator ID in Windows that has the special rights to restart Services; then you might be able to change to that user in the SOIToolBox configuration file.
