  • 1.  Put current Date/Time in UserAttribute from Escalation Action?

    Posted Aug 01, 2017 11:33 AM

We have an escalation policy that performs a number of actions. We'd like to be able to save a date/time stamp in a UserAttribute as one of the actions. Is it possible to do this?

    Hi Brian,

    •   If the Escalation Action is “Update Alert” – It allows to update an UserAttribute with various Alert Date | Time attributes

    •   If the Escalation Action is “Execute Command” – You may run “GCEventAddCmd” command to update this alert along with UserAttribute (I didn’t test this but it would work)

    Thanks

    Brahma

    Hi Brahma

Thanks for the quick reply, but not sure either of the suggestions will work.

    •   The “Update Alert” action only lets you pick from a set of pre-defined fields – and current date/time is not one of those.

    •   GCEventAddCMD will only update alerts that were created via the universal connector – and this alert is coming from spectrum.
