CA SAM Event Management Service fails to start

Hello everyone

 

Was just wondering if anyone's ever experienced this and could maybe shed some light on the root cause here before I opened a support case. The CA SAM Event Management service stopped and won't start up. I suspect some kind of corruption somewhere but not sure how to proceed with this. A server restart was done in an attempt to bring it up again and that failed.

EDIT: The odd thing about this is that all my connectors seems to be working fine as well as SOI. If it's not too much trouble can someone explain what this services function is.

Please verify the contents in "\CA\SOI\EventManagement\resources\eventManagerServerConfig.xml" are correct and if problem still exists, raise a support ticket.

That's where my problem was, the \CA\SOI\EventManagement\resources directory seems to have been accidentally deleted. I restored it and the service started successfully. Thank you. Your original answer was correct.
