  • 1.  Any SOI Issues when Upgrading Spectrum from 9.x to 10.x?

    We are considering an in-place upgrade of Spectrum from 9.x to 10.x, and we wondered if there are any issues with this as far as SOI is concerned. We will be upgrading our SOI Spectrum connectors to the latest 2.0.0.238 before the Spectrum in-place upgrades. Would it be better to "remove" Spectrum connectors from SOI, perform the Spectrum upgrade, and then re-add connectors, or is the Spectrum upgrade from 9.x to 10.x completely transparent to SOI? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks.

    As long as you upgrade the connector to the latest then you should be OK.

     

    removal of the connector is not necessary, but also should not cause any issue.

    Hi Darryl - Although Scott replied to this question, I only posted it 3 days ago - and before a holiday weekend. If the purpose of a community forum is to share ideas, then IMHO questions like these should remain active for a little while - just in case a few others in the community have some insights to offer. Not trying to be combative - just thinking that only 3 days is a little too short to allow questions to remain active.

    No worries Brian, you're the customer, you decide when you have sufficient responses. I promote the communities to all of my customers ... the more people actively involved the higher the quality of the community.

    Hello Brian, depending on the Spectrum 9.x version you are upgrading from you have to consider the steps outlined in the following technical document.
