David T.,
I think this is what they are asking about...
One of the Post install Steps talks about configuring the Thrift Services for Data Manager.
---------
To use the CA UIM (Unified Infrastructure Management) capman_da probe
to collect data, you first configure thrift services on the Data
Manager through the config.txt file.
Follow these steps:
- Access the config.txt file at:
Capacity Command Center <x.x>\ApacheTomcat\webapps\DM\WEB-INF\classes\config.txt - Open config.txt in a text editor and add the following thrift parameters:
- dm_thrift_timeout_port
The port number used by the thrift server. - dm_thrift_timeout_minutes
The timeout value, in minutes, for connecting to the thrift server. Set to zero for no timeout. - dm_thrift_is_secure
Manages the SSL communication to the capman_da probe. Set to true to enable secure communication. - dm_thrift_keystore
The complete path to the
key store that contains the certificate used for SSL communication.
Only required if secure communication is enabled. - dm_thrift_keystorepass
The encrypted
password string for the key store that contains the certificate used for
SSL communication. You must use the CCC EncryptPassword utility to
generate the encrypted password string. Only required if secure
communication is enabled.
- Save the file.
- Restart the Tomcat service.
