Move Spectrum Connector to New SA Manager

  • 1.  Move Spectrum Connector to New SA Manager

    Posted 01-23-2015 06:15 AM

    Hi,

I have been asked what steps it would take to reconfigure an existing Spectrum connector to connect to a different SA manager. I can't find anything online or in the docs about this and as far as I aware its a reinstall of the connector?

If someone could shed some light on this it would be great.

    Kind regards,

    Simon

I have a process for you to follow. Is the Connector using IFW?

If it is IFW based connector

    -------

Following files need to update with new SOI manager details.

    1. SSA_IFW_<NEW_SOI_Manage_Name>.xml in ..CA\SOI\resources\Configurations

    2. eventManagerServerConfig.xml in ..\CA\SOI\EventManagement\resources

Followed by restart of following services

    - CA SAM Event Management

    - CA SAM Integration Services

If the password for new SOI manager is different then you have to replace "password=" in SSA_IFW_<NEW_SOI_Manage_Name>.xml with new SOI manager password.

For this you can generate password using EncryptSAMCreds.bat in .CA\SOI\Tools on connector machine.

    Syntax is:

    EncryptSAMCreds.bat NEW_SOI_Manager_Pass

Which will generate encrypt password which need to be used in above mention file.

    Hi Ashay,

Is there a similar procedure for OneClick too?

    Kind regards,
