  • 1.  CA SDM Install issue

    Hi Team,

    We are trying to install r14.1 in our environment (details given below) in Conventional configuration. However, we are facing lot of issues, few of which was resolved.

    Environment Details: 
    CA SDM r14.1
    mdb - in separate remote server, in clustered named instance(SD_Staging)

    Issues
    1.  While running the installation file, in the dB connection stage, we were getting below error:

    we resolved above error with this KB Article (https://ca-broadcom.wolkenservicedesk.com/external/article?articleId=120927) , however, the installation was failing. Post having a call with Broadcom, we were advised to perform above changes in the installation folder's LIB\java security file as well. 
    We proceeded with installation, however on the last stage (integration step) we faced other error. When checked the pdm_status we can see that the below services are in connecting/not running state:


    And in the error logs we have msgs of ehc_nxd:
    10/14 09:46:52.02 <hostname> pdm_d_mgr 4504 ERROR daemon_obj.c 1990 Daemon ehc died: restarting


    Has any one faced same issue ??

    Hi Pushpith,

    1. Please check for errors in the pdm_configure.log

    2. No need to worry about those daemons not running if you have no NSM in the picture. ServiceDesk itself should run OK even when those 4 processes\daemon are not running. See the below KB articles that may help to address the 4 processes\daemon in question"
