  • 1.  unable to uncheck common components while installing fresh sdm

    Posted Sep 10, 2019 06:50 AM
    Hi Team

we have restored prod mdb in our dev sql environment and installing fresh application. Our prod environment is integrated with eem n pam.

so after restoring prod mdb in dev environment and install the application, it detects configure common  components  already 'checked' i.e integrated with eem n pam. and im unable to uncheck these 2.

pls which entry in mdb  table should i update so it will not detect eem n pam. we dont want eem n pam in dev environment.

pls note that i already update usp_servers and dlgtsrv table with dev environment localhost.

    Pls advise.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Aamir,

    1. Check the following tables and clear references\entries to EEM or ITPAM:

    - al_cdb_comp_installstate_bkup
    - al_cdb_componentinstallstate
    - al_cdb_config_params_backup
    - al_cdb_configurationparameters
    - ca_application_registration

    2. Considering you mentioned that you are doing a fresh install, what was the need to copy the MDB from PROD to DEV before hand? What is desired end goal?

The following documentation needs to be followed when moving a SQL Server hosted MDB:

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-service-management/17-1/en/administering/moving-the-ca-mdb-data-from-the-source-to-the-target-systems/moving-the-ca-mdb-database-on-microsoft-sql-server
