OPEN PDF AND TXT IN FORMS

Hi guys,

After updating SDM 17.0 with FIX 1 to 9, attachments with PDF and TXT extension open directly in the forms, even with the browser configuration being for downloading. This does not occur in Firefox. Has anyone ever experienced this? Can anyone help?

I am having the same issue, and corporate browser is IE 11, PDF attachments are not downloaded, they open in the form and block the form for further use so you can't see other attachments untill you close the ticket, and open it again. This really is an issue with the analysts...

Hi Marcos, 

Try the following on your test environment:

a. Make a copy of the web.xml file from $NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www\CATALINA_BASE\webapps\CAisd\WEB-INF to a local directory for backup purposes.


b. Edit the web.xml file from $NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www\CATALINA_BASE\webapps\CAisd\WEB-INF.


c. Find the following line under the 'save_as_dialog_ext' parameter settings:

mp3,eml,doc,zip,gz,tar,xls,rtf,ppt,pps,msg,jpeg,jpg,png

d. Add the docx extension(or any other extension you wish to have) to the list of values:

mp3,eml,doc,docx,zip,gz,tar,xls,rtf,ppt,pps,msg,jpg,png,txt,pdf

e. Save the web.xml file and restart tomcat.
